The last time we spoke to Bounge, she was working on an upcoming album as well as a vinyl compilation. However, recently this high energy artist dropped a music video titled “Stealer” in which she maintains a dynamic appeal as she flails around an empty warehouse reciting the hook “heaven knows no beast like the one inside of me.” One thing I can say about Bounge is that she is consistent. The same grunge appeal that is shown in her previous videos as well as her previous artwork and just overall aesthetic is shown in this video. Although the video doesn’t provide a variety of visuals like her previous videos (specifically Haunted Eau) do, the song itself is well put together. Her airy vocals over the hard hitting beat provide just the right amount of contrast to make the song work. Bounge is in beast mode, and if she continues on this path I look forward to seeing what she puts out in the future.
From the start, it is evident what this music video will entail. Obviously a group of guys having a good time, with their 02′ DTS. Despite the generally simplistic theme, this type of music video is tricky to successfully shoot. It can either have been a mess of unnecessary, choppy scenes that leave you with a headache by the time the (hopefully) brief three minutes are up, or be visually appealing and complement the good-natured antics. 02′ DTS was definitely the latter. The video itself is very reflective of the song; starting out simplistic and then progressing into something more complex at the same rate as the music behind it. All this is managed to be done whilst displaying phenomenal visuals and impeccable editing. This video is impressive to say the least, and definitely worth the wait. Congrats on reaching 10,000 Soundcloud plays! Maryland take a bow and let’s all collectively “whip through the 3 doing our thang!”

A wolf… Because I’ve always felt the presence of wolves. Practically a synonym for Bounge.

5. What is your most memorable moment of 2016?
2016 was intense… one night I had gotten news that an old close friend had died and then I had to work a 12 hr double at one of the three restaurant jobs I had. I had to put off grieving all day because I was at work, so when I got off, I stopped down a side street to sob. This bunch of like 10 or so kids road up on bikes, surrounded me, and realized I was crying. I told them why and they all just put their bikes down and talked to me. For me it was the highlight of a horrible week… An hour later they ended up trying to jump someone I know nearby.
